- ➤ Since Thursday, residents of the Calvert Square public housing complex have lacked heat as a trench leak cut hot water flow to radiators; Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority provided heaters and will send contractors through the weekend to restore warmth and offer hotel stays for vulnerable families (with health risks). 13 News Now

- ➤ The Crafted Green live workshop series will host a free event on Monday, Dec. 8 at Keep Norfolk Beautiful (3500-A Granby St.) from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where attendees will create unique stamps and learn hand printing techniques on upcycled materials with all supplies provided. - ➤ Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield will open early next year to bring accessible health care to residents who previously drove long distances for emergency services & specialty care.
