- ➤ Nauticus’ Winterfest on the Wisconsin won ABC-TV’s The Great Christmas Light Fight in the Heavyweight Division, earning a $50,000 prize on Dec. 18. The event continues through Dec. 31 at the historic Battleship Wisconsin + offers families a unique holiday experience. City of Norfolk
- ➤ WHRV will air the Traditional Sunday before Christmas Holiday Program on Sunday, Dec. 21 starting at 6:00 p.m. with A Colonial Christmas, followed by A Bluegrass Christmas at 7:00 p.m., The Acoustic Christmas at 9:00 p.m. and an instrumental finale at 11:00 p.m.—a tribute to colonial traditions and seasonal tunes. - ➤ Americana holiday music on The Best of Pickin will feature tunes from T-Bone Burnett, Rhonda Vincent, and Patty Loveless and airs today on alt radio at 8:00 p.m. (It follows an earlier WHRV broadcast.) WHRO

- ➤ South Korean manufacturing company LS Cable & System Ltd. plans a $689 million complex in Chesapeake to produce components for power grids, electric vehicles, and defense systems; it will be operational in 2027 and create over 430 local jobs. WHRO

- ➤ The Veterans Health Administration signed a 20-year lease for 182,230 sqft of medical space & 1,250 parking spaces next to Norfolk Premium Outlets in Virginia Beach. The new outpatient clinic will open in 2029 to serve the growing veteran population. WHRO
