ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters controlled a blaze on the 2400 block of Barre Street Thursday evening—no injuries were reported even though two residents were displaced, and the Red Cross is helping them while officials investigate the cause.  3 WTKR

CULTURE NEWS

  • Professor Samantha Baskind will explore Moses Jacob Ezekiel’s sculptures from Norfolk Botanical Gardens at the Chrysler Museum of Art this Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $18 and she will sign copies of her new book after the talk.  WHRO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • VDOT will close all lanes on I-64 east between exit 265C and exit 267 for four hours—12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m.—on Dec. 17 and Dec. 18, with a backup on Dec. 19 to install overhead signs for the Hampton Roads Express Lanes project.  13 News Now
