- ➤ The group building Norfolk's new casino gave over $92,000 from two days of play at its Interim Gaming Hall to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore—supporting local efforts to fight food insecurity. The interim hall operates near the future casino site while the main building is under construction. 3 WTKR
- ➤ In Norfolk, volunteers from New Calvary Baptist Church and local nonprofits served free hot meals Monday evening to help families facing food insecurity and will distribute Thanksgiving baskets on Nov. 24 (5 to 7 p.m.) to offer further support. 3 WTKR

- ➤ Billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott donated more than $700M to over a dozen historically Black colleges this fall, with Norfolk State University receiving a record $50M gift. The unrestricted funds will help these schools boost scholarships, research, and facilities. 13 News Now

- ➤ On November 15, 2025, the Mary D. Pretlow Library in Ocean View hosted the second annual UpCycle Festival for America Recycles Day—where local officials and community groups showed creative ways to turn trash into new items that help cut waste. WHRO

- ➤ Virginia Port Authority CEO Stephen A. Edwards announced he will step down at the end of 2025 — he plans to join the private sector, and Sarah J. McCoy, the chief administrative officer with 10 years at the port, will serve as interim leader. 13 News Now
- ➤ Former NASA astronaut and administrator Charles Bolden Jr. is touching down in Norfolk tonight at Chrysler Hall for the Norfolk Forum series at 7:30 p.m.—he will speak about the future of human space travel. He served nearly eight years in space and led projects including the Mars Curiosity Rover and the James Webb Telescope. WAVY
- ➤ The FAA lifted flight restrictions at the nation’s 40 busiest airports after staffing issues eased—passengers feel relief as many, including Bill Meyers, resume planned trips. Major airlines expect flights to return to a normal schedule by Thanksgiving. WAVY
- ➤ ERC announced that tolls for the Downtown and Midtown tunnels will increase on January 1—passenger vehicles with E-ZPass will pay 8 cents more during off-peak hours and 17 cents more during peak times while rates for plate payers and heavy vehicles will also rise to help repay tunnel improvement debts.
