  • Today at 6:30 p.m., Faith Way Community Fellowship in Virginia Beach will host the 'Words Matter' conversation co-hosted by Mothers Against Senseless Killings & Operation Determination Against Recidivism to address concerns about strict responses when children mention the word gun.   • Old Dominion University and Google will launch a new AI incubator today — offering hands-on AI access to students, researchers and local businesses with tools for healthcare, coastal resilience and maritime operations in the region.   • Teachers will join WHRO Public Media’s webinar on November 19 at 7 p.m. online to explore free eMediaVA classroom resources—offering guidance from WHRO Education staff and Teacher Ambassadors.   • City officials say the casino will bring in about $15 million a year in taxes—almost half of the $33 million originally expected—after its temporary facility opened Nov. 7 while the permanent casino is set to open late 2027.  WHRO
