GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Christopher Newport University's Wason Center poll conducted from Oct. 21 to 23 shows that governor candidate Abigail Spanberger leads Winsome Earle Sears by seven percentage points among likely voters while 6% remain undecided. • VDOT announced the opening of the new South Trestle has been postponed after workers found that necessary safety work was not complete, delaying the planned 5 a.m. start on Sunday.
