Norfolk Public Library is hosting Blue Star Families Week from Sept.

27 to Oct. 5—military families are invited to visit their local branch to pick up an NPL water bottle and lanyard while exploring the library's services.

Mary 'Maggie' Cleary was named acting U.S. attorney for the Eastern District after Erik Siebert resigned amid pressure to charge New York Attorney General Letitia James in a mortgage fraud probe — she had previously been cleared after being falsely blamed for being at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 — and she now leads an office caught in political turmoil. She will oversee the investigation as it remains open.
