- ➤ A sailor—culinary specialist Jermiah Copeland from USS James E. Williams—is accused of premeditatedly murdering Seaman Angelina Resendiz near Norfolk on May 29, and his Article 32 hearing is set for Sept. 18. 3 WTKR
- ➤ Norfolk police arrested Benjamin Sell, 28, of South Carolina on hit-and-run charges after a car was found in water at Haven Creek Boat Ramp Saturday around 11:30 p.m.—the car held a 60 year old man who did not survive and his next court hearing is set for Sept. 16. 3 WTKR
- ➤ Four Norfolk men were arrested on September 9 in Stafford County for fraud at local Wawas after suspicious gift card purchases prompted a traffic stop that uncovered extra credit cards, a concealed firearm, and controlled substances — they are now held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. - ➤ Four Norfolk men were arrested after they tried to obtain money by fraud at multiple Wawa locations in Stafford County just after midnight on Saturday—authorities found gift cards, credit cards in different names, a concealed firearm, and controlled substances as the suspects left in a black Ford Bronco. 13 News Now
