Norfolk Police said a crash occurred Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of E Virginia Beach Blvd. and Kempsville Rd in Norfolk—several people were taken to hospital and one vehicle overturned.

Maury High School was placed under lockdown Tuesday after a person was seen with a weapon around 1 p.m.—Norfolk police said the brief measure ended without further incident.

Norfolk authorities report that the Medical Examiner ruled the cause and manner of Naval sailor Angelina Resendiz's death as undetermined—she was found dead June 9 after being reported missing on May 29 and another sailor, Jermiah Copeland, is in pretrial confinement in connection with her case.
