- ➤ Norfolk police said a crash at about 5:30 a.m. early Wednesday on the 7500 block of Tidewater Drive left a pedestrian critically injured— the driver stayed at the scene, the victim was taken to a hospital, and drivers should expect delays. 13 News Now

- ➤ A Norfolk mother, Z’Ibreyea Parker, entered a plea agreement on Aug. 19 to plead guilty to child abuse and neglect in the fatal case of her 9-day-old daughter I’ijayah Johnson—her deal dropped the second-degree murder charge. WAVY
