Miss America 2026 Cassie Donegan visited Hunt Club Farm on Aug.
11 to host story time and celebrate arts education with families and animals. Donegan read a book featuring a highland cow, joined children under a tree to bejewel tiaras & color, and emphasized accessible creative expression.
Groups will honor the 1619 arrival of Africans with events blending music, remembrance and education in the region; Jamestown Settlement offers an interactive workshop on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. while Fort Monroe hosts tours and ceremonies from Aug.

Today, Joint Forces Staff College marks its 80th anniversary with a hall of fame induction to wrap up a two-day celebration started yesterday in Norfolk + displays honoring past service members.
