- ➤ WHRV will air The Best of Pickin on Friday night from 10pm to midnight, featuring bluegrass tunes from the Grammy-winning Steep Canyon Rangers — along with Iron and Wine, Bobby Osborne, Ben Eppard, The Grahams, and The Holler Choir. The show also recalls actor Steve Martin’s 2009 tour following his album The Crow, which helped boost the band’s rise to fame. WHRO

- ➤ Residents in Norfolk have raised concerns over the blue-white LED streetlights affecting health and wildlife so Dominion Energy began replacing roughly 9,000 of 30,000 lights with a warmer 2700 Kelvin option—city leaders plan to review the changes further. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin said he supports letting National Guardsmen help with tasks—such as transporting, managing, and processing people at ICE detention centers—while the Virginia National Guard will begin training later this month under Title 32 with federal funds covering costs. About 1,700 guardsmen nationwide will take over duties from active-duty Marines and Naval Reserve members. WHRO
