- ➤ Model Citizen Cocktail Supply and Juniper & Jam will open at Selden Market this fall as part of a relaunch by Downtown Norfolk Council—Model Citizen will offer cocktail supplies, tasting events, and non-alcoholic options while Juniper & Jam will serve small-batch jams, baked goods, and seasonal lunches with plans to provide local job training. - ➤ Chesapeake Police Department is searching for 15-year-old Jacob Noel who ran away from his home on May 14—he is described as 5’7” and 155 pounds with dreadlocks—if anyone has seen him, they should call the police at 757-382-6161. WAVY
- ➤ Norfolk police identified Stephanie P. Branch, 55, as the woman stabbed to death on the 1600 block of E. Brambleton Avenue on July 21—no suspect has been named as the investigation continues. 13 News Now

- ➤ Norfolk Public Schools will continue collecting feedback on its right-sizing plan to close and consolidate schools even past the Council’s Aug. 1 deadline—one listening session is scheduled for Aug. 9 at Scope Arena—while board members may arrange additional community meetings to hear residents' views. - ➤ The Navy halted its search in the Timor Sea on Wednesday for a sailor who went missing from the USS George Washington on Monday after a possible overboard incident while the carrier sailed from Norfolk to Japan—next of kin will be notified before his name is released. 3 WTKR
- ➤ USNS Laramie will return to its homeport at Naval Station Norfolk at 8:30 a.m. on August 5 after serving for eight months supporting U.S. and allied forces — completing 77 replenishment-at-sea operations that fueled naval activities in Europe and Africa. - ➤ Norfolk International Airport announced that effective Aug 1 its daily east surface parking lot will be closed to the public for roadway improvements & reserved only for oversized vehicles and existing reservations.
