CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lucas South, 38, pleaded guilty to grand larceny for stealing 88 special-ordered window security screens from an Oakleaf Forest community last month — he will be sentenced on August 1 after a junkyard employee identified him. WAVY
- ➤ Navari Taylor was sentenced to four years and two months in prison for firing shots into his ex-girlfriend’s Norfolk home on October 18th last year—he pleaded guilty on June 17th after police recovered the discarded gun, and no one was injured. WAVY

- ➤ The Norfolk School Board is considering demolishing Ghent School—one of 10 schools recommended for closure—to make room for a new football stadium and eight-lane track at Maury High.
