- ➤ At 2:20 a.m. today, fire crews in Norfolk responded to a blaze at D’ Estilo Barbershop on Sewells Point Road—located in a multi-unit strip mall where part of the roof collapsed—and had the fire under control just before 3 a.m. while a nearby business reported smoke damage. WAVY

CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Detectives charged 23-year-old Shaiqui M. McKesson with second-degree murder and use of a firearm after a shooting in the 900 block of Bagnall Road on July 10 that left 22-year-old Erica J. Wright dead—she was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased while McKesson is held without bond in Norfolk City Jail. City of Norfolk
- ➤ Police said 22-year-old Pittsburgh resident Erica J. Wright died soon after she was brought to a hospital following a shooting around 2:10 p.m. Thursday on the 900 block of Bagnall Road near Tidewater Drive and Virginia Beach Boulevard+ 23-year-old Shaiqui M. McKesson was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and firearm use during a felony. 13 News Now
