- ➤ Four Peninsula amateur radio clubs gathered behind Northampton Christian Church in Hampton on July 4 for the 2025 annual field day to showcase emergency communications and connect with younger operators. - ➤ Police responded at about 2:40 a.m. on July 3 to a shooting on the 4800 block of Kennebeck Avenue in Norfolk and identified 63-year-old Lee A. Charity, who was pronounced dead at the scene—investigators are working to solve the homicide. 13 News Now
