- ➤ On Thursday night, lightning struck a house on the 4900 block of Woolsey Street in Norfolk, displacing 2 adults and 3 children—fire crews quickly extinguished a small fire with no injuries reported. WAVY
- ➤ A duplex fire in Norfolk on Sunday afternoon displaced one adult when Norfolk Fire-Rescue extinguished a light fire at the 1400 block of Saint Julian Avenue around 1:15 p.m.—fire marshals investigated the cause while the American Red Cross was requested for assistance. WAVY

- ➤ Delta flight 1622, an Airbus A321 carrying 191 passengers from JFK to Orlando, landed safely at Norfolk International Airport on Sunday afternoon after diverting due to a possible maintenance issue — the airline said the plane was inspected and will resume its flight around 8 p.m. WAVY
