- ➤ Hampton Roads Transit is boosting light rail and ferry schedules to help residents reach Harborfest from June 6 to June 8 and avoid downtown traffic. The agency advises buying $4 e-tickets in advance and using free park-and-ride lots at select stations. City of Norfolk
- ➤ Donald and Vickie Miller of Norfolk filed a $3 million lawsuit against Roosevelt Memorial Park after their son was buried in a decrepit section that lawyer Kevin Biniazan said showed gross negligence — the suit accuses an employee of misrepresenting the cemetery’s upkeep and alleges long-standing neglect by the park’s owners, now known as Everstory. - ➤ Marine Hydraulics International was fined $16,550 by OSHA for safety violations linked to a fatal industrial accident on October 23rd at its Norfolk facility when rigging gear failed on the USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo and caused an elevator to fall—striking two subcontractor workers—resulting in one death at the scene and another later in the hospital. 13 News Now

- ➤ Authorities issued a critically missing adult alert for Angelina Petra Resendiz, 21, who was last seen around 10 a.m. May 29 at her barracks in Miller Hall at Naval Station Norfolk — her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety — and officials ask anyone with information to call the Naval Criminal Investigative Service at 757-513-1377 or 911 if they see her. - ➤ Walker Babington, known for his stunt work, is showcasing his 'Burden of the Beast' exhibition at the Hermitage where his 32‑foot bison sculpture built from storm debris will stand on the lawn until Oct. 12.
