- ➤ A Chesapeake nurse, Kevin Coolong, lost his license after state regulators found he engaged in non-consensual sexual conduct with sedated female patients at hospitals including Sentara Norfolk General and Sentara Leigh Hospitals — the Virginia Board of Nursing received four complaints that led to his disciplinary action. - ➤ Phoebus' Victorian Station, a 115-year-old former tearoom, now hosts open-mic nights every first and third Thursday with a focus on quiet, acoustic performances and simple snacks that let the music shine—its owners preserve the historic space and celebrate its musical legacy. The venue will also hold a special Sunday session on Aug. 10 featuring local acts, and it is raising funds for a new sound system with support from Big Pink Music. WHRO
