- ➤ Norfolk Animal Care Center and Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center will host the Meower Shower for kittens at Afterglow Brewing on May 24 from noon to 4 p.m. The event—designed to promote kitten fostering and community support—will offer kitten cuddles, vendor booths, live music and face painting for families. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Legislators in Virginia will change the SOL tests so that scores for grades 7 through 12 will count as 10% of a student’s final grade and be scored on a 100-point scale starting in the upcoming school year.
