  • On May 10, Norfolk residents took part in the 32nd Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive—leaving bags of non-perishable food on doorsteps for pickup—and supporting local foodbanks that have received nearly two billion pounds in donations over 32 years.  WAVY

CRIME NEWS

  • Newport News Police are seeking help to locate Thomas Thompson—a 71-year-old man with a medical condition last seen in the 1100 block of Hampton Avenue at 11:30 a.m. wearing a blue hooded jacket and brown sweatpants—and warn that he is endangered; anyone with information should call 911.  WAVY

SPORTS NEWS

  • Norfolk State’s softball season ended Friday when the Spartans lost 11-1 in five innings to South Carolina State—whose early home run gave the Bulldogs the edge—in the MEAC Tournament. The team, led by Coach Angie Nicholson, finished the year with a 22-23 record after a season marked by hard-fought games.  13 News Now
