On May 10, Norfolk residents took part in the 32nd Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive—leaving bags of non-perishable food on doorsteps for pickup—and supporting local foodbanks that have received nearly two billion pounds in donations over 32 years.

Newport News Police are seeking help to locate Thomas Thompson—a 71-year-old man with a medical condition last seen in the 1100 block of Hampton Avenue at 11:30 a.m. wearing a blue hooded jacket and brown sweatpants—and warn that he is endangered; anyone with information should call 911.

Norfolk State’s softball season ended Friday when the Spartans lost 11-1 in five innings to South Carolina State—whose early home run gave the Bulldogs the edge—in the MEAC Tournament.
