Norfolk Animal Care Center’s Waggin’ Wheels Mobile Pet Pantry will visit Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch Library on May 10 to distribute free pet food, supplies, and resources while stocks last — the event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Williamsburg-James City County school board tabled any plans to rename James Blair Middle School after a community survey showed support for keeping the current name—only two board members pressed for change despite concerns over its namesake.
