- ➤ Volunteers from the Virginia Red Cross—along with Norfolk Fire and Rescue, Team Rubicon, Norfolk CERT, and the Norfolk Medical Reserve Corp—will install free smoke alarms in Oakdale Farms on Saturday, May 3rd between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. as part of the Home Fire Campaign to reduce fire risks in at-risk areas. - ➤ Norfolk Police have been at the 3900 block of Peterson Street since Thursday using drones and intercom commands at an active barricade scene—residents say police are not letting people leave nearby homes and details remain limited. WAVY
