- ➤ Brian Jones Jr., 28, was sentenced on April 25 to eight years and 10 months in prison for trafficking fentanyl while on probation — he was arrested in January after authorities found drugs, stolen items, and firearms during a search of his vehicle and home. WAVY
- ➤ A 79 year old woman was found dead in her Newport News home on April 21—investigators discovered she had been shot in the chest and wrapped in a tarp, and her husband gave conflicting statements about her condition while evidence such as spent casings was found at the scene. WAVY

- ➤ The 17th annual Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival will take place this weekend at Town Point Park where 20 top wineries will offer wine along with live music, gourmet food, retail vendors and specialty merchandise.
