- ➤ Norfolk police investigated a crash on Church Street that left a woman with life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning — a call came in around 4:30 a.m. and the driver remained at the scene. 13 News Now

- ➤ Alice Cooper and Judas Priest will perform in Virginia Beach on Sept. 24 at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater as part of a tour with 22 stops. Ticket presales will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and general sales will start at 10 a.m. on Friday. 13 News Now

- ➤ Dominion Energy installed 13 bat flats at a Surry pilot site to give endangered bats a safe place to roost on power poles—Christopher Newport University researchers are monitoring the project to see if it can help spread bat habitat in urban areas. WHRO

- ➤ Norfolk International Airport was rated as one of the world’s best domestic airports — the top U.S. airport in its category — after a two-day on-site audit by London-based Skytrax that awarded it a certified 4-star rating for the third consecutive year. The airport handled over 4.8 million passengers last year and is set to upgrade its facilities with a nearly $1 billion capital improvement program as it works to add international flights. WAVY
