Former Tidewater Gardens residents saw gains in income, education, and health as the City and NRHA redeveloped their area into Kindred, a mixed-use community.
Construction on 191 family homes at Kinship at Kindred is underway, and Unity Place (140 apartments) will open Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m.
Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority hosted its Spring Break Sports Jam earlier with football and kid sports, and will host Southside Field Day (Thursday, Apr.
9, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and a Sneaker Ball (Friday, Apr. 10, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) to keep children active.
