ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Granby Street and Kingsley Lane in Norfolk on Sunday evening left two people with life-threatening injuries as neighbors said one was taken away on a stretcher and responders arrived around 6:30 p.m. to investigate (scene photos showed one vehicle flipped in an apartment complex parking lot and another catching fire). 3 WTKR
- ➤ A fire on the balcony of a three-story apartment building in Suffolk on Saturday evening triggered the sprinkler system to confine flames to the first floor and displaced a family of four—two adults and two children—who evacuated without injury although their apartment suffered smoke damage. 3 WTKR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting on Greenplain Road early this morning where a man was shot at 1:15 a.m. and rushed to the hospital—he may not survive his injuries. 3 WTKR
- ➤ Norfolk Police are investigating an overnight stabbing in which a man and two people who tried to help received non-life-threatening injuries when the man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital at 12:10 a.m.—officers say the incident happened at a home in the 1200 block of West 41st Street. - ➤ Police were seen near the Virginia Zoo on Sunday afternoon as several vehicles including a forensics van were at the scene—officials did not release more details. 3 WTKR
