ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Virginia lawmakers approved significant energy and environment measures including balcony solar access, streamlined rooftop permitting and grid evaluations to lower bills and boost renewable options. Gov. Spanberger must sign the bills by April 13 for them to become law.  WHRO

  • City Council received a March 17 report from the Flood Prevention Bond Referendum Oversight Board and Jacobs Engineering on progress with flood protection projects, noting advances in drainage improvements and wetland restoration.
