On March 12, a fire in USS Gerald Ford's laundry room lasted over 30 hours & forced 600 sailors to sleep on floors and tables, with two sailors treated for minor injuries while the carrier remains fully operational during its 10th-month deployment.

USS Gonzalez left Naval Station Norfolk Monday morning after years of training as over 300 sailors and their families bid farewell.

The destroyer will make a stop in Yorktown before beginning its independent deployment overseas.

Norfolk Tides will begin baseball season on March 27 at Harbor Park with free transit rides and city lot parking.
