- ➤ Ocean View’s 58th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set to start at 10 a.m. Saturday at Northside Middle School at 8730 Granby St and will follow a route that turns onto A View Avenue and First View Street — ending near Government Avenue around noon. Norfolk Police will close Granby Street from Bayview Boulevard to Bay Avenue at 7:30 a.m. and parts of the route by 9:30 a.m. — streets will reopen at noon or later to manage traffic. Daily Press

- ➤ Norfolk police say a 60-year-old man, Michael Green from Virginia Beach, died after crashing his car into a tree on the 800 block of E Princess Anne Road on Thursday afternoon at noon—officials report—while investigators examine the cause. 3 WTKR
