- ➤ The Virginia Department of Health opened an additional 250 acres on Lynnhaven River for commercial shellfish harvesting yesterday, raising the harvest area to 52%. Harvesters mostly use aquaculture cages while water quality is monitored closely to ensure safe consumption. WHRO
