- ➤ The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore is stepping in to support Coast Guard and TSA workers facing delayed pay due to the DHS shutdown. Volunteers will pack 1,000 food boxes today from 1 to 3 p.m. at 800 Tidewater Drive to ease the strain on families. 13 News Now

- ➤ Local singer Roberta Lea will headline the inaugural Too Much A Woman Festival in Hampton this weekend to honor Women's History Month. The festival features an evening concert with Virginia's top female artists. WHRO
- ➤ Today, 89.5 WHRV airs The Best of Pickin, a late night Americana show celebrating Women's History Month. The program will feature music from both legendary and emerging female artists such as Alison Krauss and Dolly Parton at 10 p.m. WHRO

- ➤ Norfolk-based Cathy Staton created the DeVon Antonio Staton Foundation to honor her son's legacy by raising awareness about Type 1 diabetes and awarding $1,000 scholarships. The foundation's 2nd annual Scholarship Luncheon and Sneaker Ball is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 (1 p.m.) at Delta Hotels Norfolk Airport. 13 News Now
- ➤ ODU and the Virginia Beach Police Department will launch Frontline, a program that embeds counseling students in first responder agencies to learn about police culture during a yearlong internship starting in fall 2026.
