- ➤ A team of six Norfolk State Engineering and Computer Science students earned third place at the 2026 AMIE Design Challenge at the 40th BEYA STEM Conference by designing WAV-E (a deployable water treatment system) to address water emergencies; they received $4,000 to support retention initiatives and $400 per student.
