Derrick 'Izzy The DJ' Isabell leads The Isabell Foundation that provides scholarships, mentorship and fatherhood programs to Hampton Roads families. The nonprofit's flagship event, Izzy's Community Day, returns first week of August - serving students and residents - to connect them with local resources.
Another View featured the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Virginia as a legacy institution (originally the Boys Club of Norfolk in 1919) offering safe spaces and quality programs for kids and teens. The edition showcased personal stories of community impact and is available on demand via WHRO.
